The second graders of Room 105 will have one period of science with Mrs. Kurish and one period of social studies with Mrs. Staurowsky each week. Although the students will not be graded for these subjects, we will be exploring a variety of topics. Science Fusion is our science textbook at Holy Cross but I will also supplement it with other lessons and our science lab . In second grade, we will investigate weight and volume, the Earth's surface, health and hygiene, animals, and magnets. The scientific method is used throughout the program. I am very excited about our science program and I cannot wait to begin!
